Michael Davidek

Mike's martial arts story began as a child learning Judo and Hapkido. Later, he started training Jiu Jitsu while in the military and quickly discovered his passion for the art. After a brief but intense period of competing regionally up through purple belt, Mike focused his efforts on coaching. He realized that his true passion lay in teaching and helping others to develop their skills and knowledge in Jiu Jitsu. Mike received his black belt from Ron Turner and Casey Halstead in 2021 after more than a decade of daily training.

Mike's view is that achieving competence in the art requires a disciplined approach to physical and mental development. He believes that students must enhance the capabilities of their bodies as well as their understanding and knowledge of techniques, all of which can be achieved through dedication and consistent training.

Mike teaches the fundamentals class and has a passion for revealing the technical details of the art's foundational techniques. He believes that a strong understanding of the basics is essential for progressing in Jiu Jitsu and works tirelessly to help his students master them.
